at weird times of the day/night I realize what song lyrics mean.
lyrics are funny like that, because at one point in your life they mean something else and at another you add layers and it means something more.
but it's not just lyrics; it's certain types of books, too, that when you re-read you feel you've discovered something new within which you hadn't before. Salt and Saffron does that to me, as does The Reluctant Fundamentalist and Immortality (Kundera).
i suppose that with the very best of artists, who've put so much into their craft, it's to be expected.
what're your favourite books to re-read/song that blew your mind when you listened to it over a period of time, or after a period of time/~basically the same for any other art form that you enjoy?
